Apple offered $80 for a Mini I would not wish on my enemy. Checked out the OWC SSD blade upgrade for a minimum of $110. Later that week I was updating the OS on the HT '14 Mini 4/500 rust drive which was painfully slow. The only issue I have with it is the MacRumors website constantly freezes up Safari! 🤪 Upgrading the keyboard, display and performance for an increase of $359 was a no brainer for me. Received $540 in trade and purchased for $899 veterans price.
